I've been using vegan shampoo bars for years. They tend to be softer bars and thus get used a bit quicker than this bar will. It's solid. And I find it suds up just as well as the others I've used. I have very short hair so it doesn't take many passes of the bar to get more than enough suds. I still use a conditioner bar as I have very hard water (if I don't, my hair will just frizz out), but this bar definitely makes my hair feel softer.
