GRASS-FED & GRASS-FINISHED: Not all grass-fed cattle are grass-finished. In fact, to get a fatter cow, many farmers will finish their beef off in a small pen and feed them a heavy grain diet in the last few months to fatten them up. Our tallow comes from cattle that are grass-finished and grain fed or finished.
DRY RENDERED: dry rendering is the process of simply harvesting the suet (the organ fat which is the cleanest and full of the most nutrients) and heating it slowly over the course of several hours to several days. Finally, it is skimmed and strained multiple times. Once moisture is introduced (as is with wet-rendered tallow), an environment for bacteria to grow is created. Dry rendering not only ensures the retention of the nutrients that make tallow so good for your skin but also increases the stability and shelf-life of the products.

The consistency of tallow is greatly affected by its temperature. Tallow has a low melting point of 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Store at or below room temperature and out of direct sunlight. If product liquifies, simply cool it to return to optimal consistency. If product hardens, simply massage between fingers before applying.

I have a few skincare items as well as candles and everything is beautifully made with love. Logan took her time picking out the most natural pure ingredients and made skin care the way it should be. The tallow balms and goats milk body creams are so smooth on the skin and smell delicious. I may need to make a special trip soon just to get refilled!

This was the my first of many tallow skincare purchases from Waymacres. The jar lasted me about 8 months (with my daughters using it here and there as well.) I don’t think I’ll ever use anything else. This leaves my skin soft, moisturized, and clear. Would recommend to anyone wanting to switch their skincare to a more natural product.
