Our Story | waymacres

We are Joe & Logan; our sons are Henry, Jacob and Isaac and we have been blessed. In October of 2021, God decided to move our family from our "American Dream" suburban life to a much smaller home on 7 acres about a 40 minute drive from anything. Being obedient to that calling was the hardest and best decision we had ever made.

In 2020, Joe and I came to know Christ. It wasn’t long after that God asked us to trust AND follow Him. We knew that would mean completely changing our entire lives. In the next 12 months He had us trade our “forever” home for a small piece of land in “God’s Country”. Little did we know that wasn’t all He would trade up.

Within 18 months of arriving (to what is now “Waymacres”, God removed our corporate careers - first Joe’s, then mine 12 months later. With (what we thought was) nothing else to lose we waited on the Lord. Before long, He showed us that now...we had everything to gain through His plans for us. Since that pivotal season began, our purpose has been to dedicate every aspect of our lives to Him...

We spent the first few months of our "God-Employment" finishing a renovation that we had hired someone to begin prior to being laid off. Not even knowing how to (appropriately) use power tools, we eventually finished a major addition to our home. God used the people He placed in our lives to not only help us finish the renovation but to ... prepare Joe (and his partner, Matt) for what is now their construction business: Kingdom Builders, LLC.

Our skincare line was inspired by the realization of God's provision in all things...especially when it came to our health. He highlighted the abundance of raw goat milk we had stored up and the very real need we had to heal our dry, chapped skin (farm work isn't for the manicured hand or pedicured foot). What began with soaps and lotion quickly grew to include tallow skin care and all-natural beeswax products as we began beekeeping.

Most importantly though, God gave us the time we needed to begin the Men's Ministry and Women's Ministry on Saturdays. What started as 10-12 men in a small pole building has grown to up to 20 women in one barn, 30-40 men in another (both of which now have heat and a bathroom!) and 10+ kids running around the farm, playing and fellowshipping together. It's a welcoming, humble group of people trying to understand, apply and live God's Word through reading, worshiping, praying and doing life together. We invite and encourage you to join us!

God has been faithful in His promise and His plans. He is creating what He always intended for our family, our farm and our community. In just a few short years, we have ventured into the unknown in so many ways and are passionate about helping others to find the strength, courage and FAITH to do the same!

We believe everything we have, from finances, resources, faith and love to the very hair on our heads and breath in our lungs, is not ours but God's. We want to share what God has built here with you and we believe God will make the way - it's up to you to take it !

Our dependency upon our faith and God's constant reminder of His faithfulness through the recurring experiences with these verses has allowed us to...
