"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for the least of these ... you did for me."
- Jesus

Matthew 25:40

As God has provided all things for us, we are blessed and honored to be able to provide those same things for others to glorify Christ. At Waymacres, we are humbled and blessed to open our property to others for fellowship, ministry, healing and whatever need anyone might have.  As we continued to renovate the property over the last few years, we have been praying for the Lord to show us what to do next. In 2024/2025, during one of the Men's Fellowship meetings in the Hay Barn (an unfinished, skeleton of a pole building without heat or running water) Joe was praying for God to show him how to be able to continue in the ministry throughout the upcoming winter. It was in that moment that God spoke to him, telling him to collect necessities for others who didn't have heat heading into winter...but who also didn't have a "skeleton of a pole building" either...let alone fellowship or Christ.  It was then that the Men's Fellowship worked together to gather blankets, coats, cots, money etc. to donate to the local homeless. Unfamiliar with the homeless community in the area or the (lack of) resources available, the men gathered truck loads of supplies, purchased cots and other items for the only cold weather refuge in the community, and walked down to the local "tent city" to hand out propane, blankets, tents etc. It  was through that experience that we were introduced to the Lehighton Cold Weather Station and spent the winter volunteering during night shifts to chaperone and, more importantly, really get to know and fellowship with the homeless members of our community. What we experienced and learned was astonishing. The immediate, physical needs of others were strikingly obvious. Less apparent, but just as in need, were the spiritual needs of our neighbors. There is craving for conversation, fellowship, friendship...most of which aren't offered through traditional 501(c)(3) organizations - even churches. God gives some the ability to serve through financial means, physical donations and participation in church-led service opportunities. He blessed us with the gift of TIME. We can't think of a better way to spend our short time here than with our kids, serving the most in need, realizing the reality of Christs' blessings in our own lives. In 2025 we began collecting donations, storing them in our barn, and delivering them to the local homeless communities with prayer and love as well.
