No more toxic or synthetic ingredients for your baby's skin! This light-weight, smooth whipped tallow cream provides many more benefits to your baby's sensitive skin than commercial products and NONE of what your baby's skin doesn't need, like petroleum based products that actually promote inflammation as well as other nasty things.

As mother of 3 myself, I understand that there is NOTHING we won't try to help heal our baby's skin problems - especially angry, red and raw bottoms. Wether it's coxsackie virus, eczema, or plain old terrible diaper rash - we want to use GENTLE, and NATURAL healing products that ACTUALLY WORK and that work FAST!

The Star Ingredients:

  • Arrowroot Powder: (instead of zinc oxide), this bottom balm is cloth diaper safe and will not cause build-up on your cloth diapers. Arrowroot has numerous benefits for healing baby's skin.
  • Bentonite Clay: Bentonite clay is a natural clay that absorbs water and has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. One study found that 93.3% of diaper rash lesions healed within six hours when treated with bentonite clay. Bentonite clay can also help heal allergic dermatitis and ease dermatitis caused by poison ivy, poison oak, eczema, and other allergic skin reactions.
  • Frankincense: A staple in our product line, this amazing oil has so many anti-inflammatory properties as well as restorative and regenerative capabilities making it a no-brainer for the products for our most important customers!
  • Helichrysum Italicum: A flower from the Asteraceae (sunflower) family sometimes known as the "curry plant". Helichrysum italicum is well-known for its superior anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antifungal, and antiviral properties.
  • Calendula: Also known as "pot marigold", this flower is known for its gentleness and wide application of excellent calming and soothing properties.

Due to the natural characteristics of bentonite clay, you may find that it settles to the bottom of the container. This is fine. You can mix it back in if you wish but the cooking process ensures the benefical elements of the clay are mixed well throughout the product (giving it it's grey color).

Why Tallow?

Tallow is bio-identical to our skin's natural oils making it the perfect choice all skin-types, including sensitive skin and those suffering from skin disorders.

  • Easily Absorbed: The fatty acid composition of tallow is similar to the sebum produced by the skin, making it a biocompatible moisturizer. This means that tallow can be easily absorbed by the skin without clogging pores or causing irritation.
  • Repairs & Regenerates: Tallow is a great source of vitamins A, D, E, K and B12, which provide essential nutrients for skin health. These vitamins can help protect the skin from free radical damage and promote cell regeneration.
  • Anti-inflammatory Effects: Tallow contains conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), an omega-6 fatty acid with anti-inflammatory properties. This can help soothe skin irritation, redness, and eczema.

  • Moisturizing Properties: Tallow is rich in fatty acids/triglycerides, specifically: oleic, linoleic, palmitic, and stearic acids, which act as occlusive agents to trap moisture in the skin. This can help hydrate dry, flaky, and sensitive skin.

  • Other Potential Benefits: Some studies suggest that tallow may have antimicrobial and antioxidant properties, which could further benefit skin health.

Not all tallow is created equally...

  • Locally sourced, organic, grass-fed & grass finished tallow - Whatever beef fat we cannot get from our own cows we get from a local Mennonite butcher. The tallow is grass-fed and grass-finished.
    • No Hormones or Antibiotics: because we all know why those aren't good
    • Organic: the diet of the cows is organic grass that is free of chemical fertalizers and pesticides.
    • Grass-Fed & Grass-Finished: Not all grass-fed cattle are grass-finished. In fact, to get a fatter cow, many farmers will finish their beef off in a small pen and feed them a heavy grain diet in the last few months to fatten them up. Our tallow comes from cattle that are grass-finished and grain fed or finished.
  • Dry Rendered - dry rendering is the process of simply harvesting the suet (the organ fat which is the cleanest and full of the most nutrients) and heating it slowly over the course of several hours to several days. Finally, it is skimmed and strained multiple times. Once moisture is introduced (as is with wet-rendered tallow), an environment for bacteria to grow is created. Dry rendering not only ensures the retention of the nutrients that make tallow so good for your skin but also increases the stability and shelf-life of the prodcuts.
  • Produced in small batches by hand to ensure the highesst quality of all ingredients and final products!

    Best baby balm

As a mom of 6 and foster mama, I can promise this is the best baby balm I've ever used! No residue, not pasty, smells great, and has safe ingredients! It can also be used with cloth diapers. I will never be without this for my babies!

    HEALS doesn’t just protect

Ok so this stuff actually runs in its not like the Desitin we were used to, but knowing the ingredients, it made sense. It HEALED my daughter in less than 2 days!! Usually we r Desitin and constantly changing diapers 4-7 days. We did regular diaper changes nothing extra and this butt balm it doesn’t stink and get all over like the Desitin and it legit HEALED and soothed her. My husband wouldn’t shut up about it, amazing
