COLD PROCESSED: Our soaps are made the old fashioned way using the cold process method which preserves the milk's nutrients, natural glycerine and oils creating a harder, longer-lasting bar with a creamy lather, making it ideal for nurturing all skin types, including babies' delicate skin.

The consistency of tallow is greatly affected by its temperature. Tallow has a low melting point of 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Store at or below room temperature and out of direct sunlight. If product liquifies, simply cool it to return to optimal consistency. If product hardens, simply massage between fingers before applying.

Why We Only Use Raw Milk: Some goat milk soaps and other goat milk skincare products are made with "goat milk soap base" - an off-the-shelf product widely available online and at most craft and hobby stores. Others are made with evaporated, dehydrated, canned or powdered goat milk. These processes can significantly alter the quality of the final product, potentially compromising the nutrient rich benefits unique to raw goat milk.

DISCLAIMER: Because our lotions and creams are made with RAW goats milk, we recommend using them within 6 months of purchase. We do use an all natural preservative, however, the goat's milk creams and lotions are not shelf-stable indefinitely. Products that have separation, discoloration or an unpleasant odor should not be used.

Tallow is bio-identical to our skin's natural oils making it the perfect choice all skin-types, including sensitive skin and those suffering from skin disorders.

FULLY ABSORBS: The fatty acid composition of tallow is similar to the sebum produced by the skin, making it a biocompatible moisturizer. This means that tallow can be easily absorbed by the skin without clogging pores or causing irritation.

REPAIRS & REGENERATES: Tallow is a great source of vitamins A, D, E, K and B12, which provide essential nutrients for skin health. These vitamins can help protect the skin from free radical damage and promote cell regeneration.

ANTI-INFLAMMATORY: Tallow contains conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), an omega-6 fatty acid with anti-inflammatory properties. This can help soothe skin irritation, redness, and eczema.

NO HORMONES or ANTIBIOTICS: because we all know why those aren't good.

PASTURE RAISED, GRASS-FED: Because toxins are stored in fat, it's important to know the source of your tallow and how the cattle was fed and raised. Our tallow comes from grass-fed (and finished as often as possible) and pasture raised (ensures majority of diet is grass) cows raised locally. Whenever possible, we use suet from our own cattle and supplement with fat sourced locally from our local butcher.

DRY RENDERED: dry rendering is the process of simply harvesting the suet (the organ fat which is the cleanest and full of the most nutrients) and heating it slowly over the course of several hours to several days. Finally, it is skimmed and strained multiple times. Once moisture is introduced (as is with wet-rendered tallow), an environment for bacteria to grow is created. Dry rendering not only ensures the retention of the nutrients that make tallow so good for your skin but also increases the stability and shelf-life of the products.
